Power scheduling allows you to start and stop your clouds automatically to a schedule of your choice, helping you reduce operational costs.
e.g. Power off your clouds at night, when they’re not used, and have them start automatically in the morning.
The above is only one simple example out of many complex schedules you can create. You can create schedules that are precise to the minute, and recur throughout the year. These schedules are applied, specifically, to compute resources on your clouds. You can target these resources as widely as an entire region or resource group, or narrow it down by specific tags you've applied to them.

Finding power scheduling details for a cloud on Telstra Cloud Sight
On each row of a cloud on your 'Cloud services' page (home page), under the 'Scheduling' section, you'll see a label that tells if you've enabled or disabled this feature.
More details and additional functions can be found on the Scheduling tab of every cloud details page. To get there, click on the cloud name on the 'Cloud services' page. This takes you to the details page for that cloud. Select the Scheduling tab.
The Scheduling tab
Select the Scheduling tab on the cloud details page.
On this tab you'll find two layers:
- Schedules – the panels with schedule name, start and stop times, recurrence and timezone listed in the header. These are the schedules you've created.
- Targets – the line items within the schedule showing target names and statistics for the regions, resource groups and tags. These are resources you're targeting with your schedule.
Note that adding a schedule will not, in itself, be useful until you apply it to targeted resources.
You can add multiple targets to a single schedule. Please be aware of other schedules that may overlap with the one you're applying to the target as this may cause unintended powering on/off.
On the Scheduling tab, you can
