This article expands on the 'Post-connection configuration' step in the Establishing a link between a Cloud Connector and an AWS cloud section of Cloud Connector-AWS cloud link: establishing, editing and deleting.
Below are the actions Cloud Sight takes on your behalf if you select the 'Yes, I'll select the VPCs that need to be connected' option in the post-connection configuration step (step 4).
Cloud Sight automatically:
- Creates a Direct Connect Gateway
- And if you have't already, creates Virtual Private Gateways
- Creates Virtual Private Gateway associations between your Direct Connect Gateway and Virtual Private Gateways
- Creates Virtual Interfaces to connect to your VPCs
Please note these steps apply to each AWS cloud account you link via Cloud Sight. This means, a Direct Connect Gateway will be created for each AWS account linked to your Cloud Connector.
