The following article is intended for Telstra partners or dealers only.
Registering for Telstra Cloud Sight
Download the registration email template.
Please complete the template and return via the email address contactcloudsight@team.telstra.com, and cc. david.omalley@team.telstra.com (these should be automatically filled out on the email template).
You'll need to link Telstra Cloud Sight with a new or existing cloud provider as part of this process.
We'll let you know when your Telstra Cloud Sight tenancy is ready.
Linking Telstra Cloud Sight with a cloud tenancy
If your customer hasn't got a tenancy with a preferred cloud provider, please indicate their preference on the registration form. We'll create a tenancy on that cloud service and link it to Telstra Cloud Sight on their behalf.
If your customer has an existing cloud tenancy created through another provider (not Telstra) you'll need to link that tenancy to Telstra Cloud Services
Linking an existing cloud tenancy with Telstra Cloud Services
Please note these instructions are for linking a cloud tenancy that was created via another provider (not Telstra).
You can link Telstra Cloud Sight to either:
Linking to an existing AWS tenancy
- Submit Telstra Cloud Sight registration.
- Our Concierge team will contact you to transfer your AWS accounts to Telstra. We'll need your assistance running CloudFormation scripts to grant Telstra Cloud Sight access to AWS master and child accounts.
- Once the Telstra Cloud Sight set up is complete, you can add any new or existing clouds to Telstra Cloud Sight.
Linking to an existing Microsoft Azure tenancy
Linking to a Microsoft Azure tenancy can happen two ways, depending on how that tenancy was created.
- If the tenancy was created through Microsoft, you'll need to join the Telstra Azure CSP during the registration process.
- If the tenancy was created through another provider (neither Telstra nor Microsoft), you'll need to migrate that tenancy and any existing clouds (subscriptions) within it to Telstra Azure CSP.
Joining the Telstra Azure CSP
- Submit Telstra Cloud Sight registration.
- If you've got existing clouds (Azure subscriptions) please include them on the registration email so we can link them to Telstra Cloud Sight.
- The next step will depend on the type of customer you're linking to Telstra Cloud Sight:
- PAYG Azure subscription customers – please complete and send the email template found here.
- Enterprise Agreement Azure subscription customers – please see the PDF found here
- Non-Telstra CSP Azure subscription customers – please follow Microsoft's instructions.
- You'll be sent an invite to join the Telstra Azure CSP. Please follow the link and accept the invitation (you'll need to be an Azure Global Admin to do this).
- Once the Telstra Cloud Sight set up is complete, you can add any new or existing clouds to Telstra Cloud Sight. Any existing clouds (Azure subscriptions) should show up on the 'Add existing clouds' page.
Migrating a Microsoft Azure tenancy to Telstra Azure CSP
- Submit Telstra Cloud Sight registration.
- If you've got existing clouds (Azure subscriptions) please include them on the registration email so we can link them to Telstra Cloud Sight.
- We'll be in touch to organise the migration. Migration is a manual process that will require input from your customer, Telstra and Microsoft. (As a partner you may need to assist your customer in completing the process.) The migration process is documented here.
- You'll get an email once the Telstra Cloud Sight tenancy is active. Please wait until your migration is complete before you add any services. Once set up is complete, you can add any new or existing clouds to Telstra Cloud Sight. Any existing clouds (Azure subscriptions) should show up on the 'Add existing clouds' page.
