Before you can start adding Azure clouds, you'll need to link an Azure Active Directory (AD) tenant to Telstra Cloud Sight.
This will happen automatically, when you try to add your first Azure cloud.

Linking an Azure AD tenant to Cloud Sight
When you choose to add a Microsoft Azure cloud for the first time, you'll be directed to a page with the title: 'Start with a Microsoft Azure AD tenancy'.
You'll be asked the question 'Are you already an Azure AD tenant?'
Depending on your answer, you'll be directed to:
Creating a new Azure AD tenancy
1. When you select 'No, I don't have an Azure AD tenancy' and click on Next, you'll be directed to a form.
2. Enter a domain name prefix for a new Azure AD tenancy. This could be the name of your organisation or project. Click on Check availability.
If your domain name prefix is already taken you'll be asked to try another. If it's available the .onmicrosoft.com will be added to the name you selected.
e.g. acme.onmicrosoft.com
3. Enter the remaining details
- Company
- Country/region
- Address
- City
- State/province
- ZIP/postal code
- First and last names
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
Select Next
4. You'll be taken to a summary of the details you've entered and the Terms and Conditions. Review the page, select the checkbox to agree to the terms and click on Submit.
5. We'll send you an email when the tenancy is created. You'll also see an alert on the home page of Telstra Cloud Sight, advising you the tenancy is complete.
On both of these communications, you'll find a link to the login credentials for your new Microsoft Azure AD tenancy.
Note that for security reasons these credentials can only be accessed once. We recommend you change the password as soon as possible.
6. Now you can begin adding Azure clouds.
Linking an existing Azure AD tenant to Cloud Sight
To link an existing Azure AD tenant, you must be logged in to Cloud Sight with your Azure email address. (e.g. If your Azure email address is 'example@telstra.com', you'll need to log in to Cloud Sight with the same 'example@telstra.com' email address.) If that email isn't registered to Cloud Sight, invite a new user with an email address and log in as that new user.
1. When you select 'Yes, I have an existing Azure AD tenant' and click on Next, you'll be asked to log in with your Azure AD credentials.
Please make sure any pop-up blockers are turned off so you can complete this task.
2. You'll be taken to a page listing the following Azure AD details.
- Username
- Azure tenant ID
- Azure domain
If these details match those of the Azure AD tenant you'd like to link to Cloud Sight, select Next.
3. Cloud Sight may take up to a minute to determine whether your Azure AD is already linked to Telstra. What happens next depends on how you created your Azure AD tenant.
- If your tenant is already linked to Telstra Cloud Sight may take up to another minute to connect your tenant to all the Cloud Sight features. That's it! You'll be taken to the form where you can begin adding a new cloud.
- If your tenant was not created through Telstra you'll have let us know if your tenant was:
Linking a tenant created via Microsoft
4. Select the answer 'Yes, I created it via Microsoft' to the question 'Did you create your tenant through Microsoft?'
5. Click on the URL provided on the next page. This will open a pop-up. (Make sure you disable any pop-up blockers before clicking on the URL.)
6. Log in with your Azure AD credentials.
7. Agree to grant Telstra all permissions listed on the pop-up screen.
We'll send you an email when the tenant linking process is complete.
While you're waiting for that final email you could, should you wish to do so, begin transferring any existing Azure resources to Telstra.
Once you get the email you can begin adding Azure clouds.
Linking a tenant created via another provider
