About the transition
Q: Why are these changes being made?
We're in the process of unifying and improving our cloud and network connectivity experience. You've previously used multiple platforms to perform many cloud and connectivity actions, and now we're bringing them all together on Telstra Cloud Sight for a seamless, easy-to-use experience. This means less portals to use, fewer logins to remember and better support.
Q: What are the changes being made to my Telstra Cloud Gateway service?
There are two major changes to Telstra Cloud Gateway that you need to be aware of:
- We’re renaming the ‘Telstra Cloud Gateway’ service as ‘Telstra Cloud Connector’. There won’t be any changes to your physical infrastructure or existing configuration and, for that reason, no downtime.
- You’ll access and manage your service through Telstra Cloud Sight. Cloud Sight is an online platform that allows you to buy and manage cloud services, including Cloud Connector. You’ll be able make any changes to your existing service on Cloud Sight, free of charge.
Q: When are these changes coming into effect?
The changes will come into effect from March 2025.
Q: What's Telstra Cloud Sight?
Telstra Cloud Sight is a powerful web-based platform that simplifies the way you buy, deploy and manage your public cloud services and associated network connectivity all on a single platform.
Q: Is there anything I need to do?
You'll get an email welcoming you to Cloud Sight after the 1st March 2025. Follow the steps in the email to log into your Cloud Sight tenancy. The Cloud Connector service will automatically appear within the ‘Cloud services’ page on Cloud Sight.
Please note that by activating a tenancy you’ll be agreeing to Our Customer Terms that govern your use of the Telstra Cloud Sight platform and the Telstra Cloud Connector service.
Q: Will there be any downtime or disruptions to my gateway service?
No, these changes will not cause any service disruptions to your Telstra Cloud Gateway service, nor will it result in any changes to your current configuration(s). These updates only impact the naming convention of your Telstra Cloud Gateway service, and the portal that you log into to view and request changes.
Q: What are the pricing differences between Cloud Gateway and Cloud Connector?
The main difference is that Telstra Cloud Connector has no set-up fees and no fees for Moves/Adds/Changes (MACs).
There are no differences to the monthly fees in each bandwidth tier.
Please see the Cloud Connector pricing guide for details.
Q: Will there be any changes to my contract dates?
No. Your 12, 26 or 36 month terms will carry on until the end of the contract, as originally stipulated.
Q: What billing changes can I expect?
If your product changes take place before your March billing cycle date, your March invoice will reflect the new charges for your Cloud Connectivity service. If your product changes take place after your March billing cycle date, your April invoice will reflect the new charges for your Cloud Connectivity service.
Q: Can I still access the Telstra Cloud Gateway portal?
You will no longer have access to the Cloud Gateway portal once your service is moved to Telstra Cloud Sight. You'll be able to manage your service through Cloud Sight.

Q: Do I need to create users again or will you migrate users I had on the Cloud Services Store and Portal to Cloud Sight?
You need to add new users on Cloud Sight.
Cloud Sight has a multi-layered user and access management system that allows you to control which users have access and permissions to which parts of Cloud Sight. This gives you the opportunity to gain more control and improve on the single layered (every user was a super user) identity management system that was used in the Cloud Services Store and Portal.
