Q: How is my AWS from Telstra account established in Telstra's heirarchy?
When you purchase AWS from Telstra a cloud account is created under an AWS master account belonging to Telstra, within an AWS Organization dedicated to your tenancy. Your services will be assigned to the appropriate AWS Organization within the Telstra Master account.
You'll be able to perform most operations on your AWS cloud accounts, some with restrictions. Please contact us for a full list of operations you can perform on your AWS cloud account. You will, however, not be allowed to perform any operations on the AWS Master account.
If you need a dedicated AWS Master tenancy of your own, you'll need to purchase AWS Direct, which is only available to select customers. Contact us to find out if you qualify for AWS Direct.
Q: What's the difference between AWS from Telstra and AWS Direct?
AWS from Telstra is our standard service that adds your cloud to a shared AWS tenancy. Select customers may purchase AWS Direct, which offers a dedicated AWS Master tenancy. Contact us to find out if you qualify for AWS Direct.
